Transforming Used Technology Into Opportunity, Education & Community!
Alltek Services has partnered with Eckerd, one of the nations largest nonprofit child and family service organizations, to take part in Project Bridge, a program designed to provide transitional services to youth ages 16 - 18 who are rejoining their home communities after spending time in juvenile justice residential commitment programs throughout Central and South Florida.
Our team will be providing supervised computer internships to young adults through the program, in order to give them a second chance at life – an opportunity to learn to recycle and refurbish computers. Tom Bowles, President of Alltek Services, explained:
“I believe a lot of these young adults would benefit from being involved in a business atmosphere where they have some responsibilities and some mentors to look up to. I think it’ll be really positive for them and allow them to see what opportunities are out there!”
